ABOUT
THE LITHUANAN BUSINESS WOMEN’S NETWORK (LBWN) is a community within a community, bringing together over 170 Lithuanian business women and female managers. Currently, there are five regional networks: Vilnius BWN operates within the Association of Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts (ALCCIC), while the other four are established within Kaunas, Klaipėda, Panevėžys, and Šiauliai Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts.
Network
THE BEGINNING
In 2002, representatives of various European Union Chambers of Commerce working in Brussels initiated the creation of the European Women Network (EWN) within the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Asta Šileikienė and other like-minded women began developing the Business Women’s Network within the Association of the Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts (ALCCIC). In 2008, they brought together business women in Kaunas for its founding conference.

LBWN operates within the Association of Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts.
LBWN ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE
The Lithuanian Business Women’s Network consists of 5 regional networks established in Lithuania’s largest cities, bringing together business women and top-level female managers from across the country. Each network’s daily activities are coordinated by member-elected councils. LBWN’s activities are managed by the LBWN Council, composed of the heads of the regional networks.
CONNECTION TO ALCCIC
LBWN operates within the Association of Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts (ALCCIC), which connects the Kaunas, Klaipėda, Panevėžys and Šiauliai Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts.

HOW TO BECOME A LBWN MEMBER
Membership of the regional BWN (except for Vilnius BWN) is open to business owners, co-owners and/or top-level managers representing companies that are members of the Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai or Panevėžys CCICs.
Membership of the Vilnius BWN is open to business owners, co-owners and top-level managers of companies operating in the Vilnius region.
If you are looking to expand your business, seek like-minded individuals for new projects, or wish to share your experience and support other women, the Lithuanian Business Women’s Network is the right place for personal fulfilment.
