ŠIAULIAI BWN

The Šiauliai Business Women’s Network has been operating in Šiauliai Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts since 2008.

The network currently unites 25 businesswomen and managers from the Šiauliai and Telšiai regions, representing diverse sectors, such as logistics, commerce, manufacturing, business consulting, financial services, legal services, advertising and other business services. Notably, half of the businesswomen have been involved in network activities since its establishment.

FORMS OF ACTIVITY

The Šiauliai BWN organises more than 20 events on an annual basis:

  • Monthly meetings in an informal setting to share news, meet prospective members, discuss projects and initiatives and plan network activities;
  • Discussions on topical issues;
  • Visits to companies and organisations;
  • Leisure and sightseeing events and trips in Lithuania;
  • Participation in international projects.

PROJECTS AND WORK GROUPS

01/01/2020–30/04/2023: the AMIF project ATHENA The representatives of Šiauliai BWN participated in the Interested Organisations Work Group and prepared recommendations for policy makers on the promotion of entrepreneurship among immigrant women, consulted immigrant women from Ukraine, participated in the final conference of the project, familiarised themselves with the activities of the EESC and the European Parliament, and established connections with the EUROCHAMBRES Membership Coordinator.

  • Alma Klupšienė, Head of Sole Proprietorship “Aštuoni”, “Leader 2024” award (ŠPPAR);
  • Vaiva Vaidžiulienė, Member of the Šiauliai BWN Council, Head of MB “Tviski”, LBWN award for implementing innovative IT solutions, digitalising Šiauliai BWN, and creating the organisation’s visual identity.
  • Vlada Buivydienė, attorney and head of the Šiauliai region WBN, received the 'Voice of Lithuanian Business' award (Šiauliai CCI).
  • Almyra Girdenienė, director of UAB pharmacy 'Valerijonas', received the 'Golden Partner' recognition for long-term collaboration with general education schools in Šiauliai, enabling student participation in professional experience programmes (Šiauliai Municipality).
  • Gražina Garuolienė, owner and head of UAB 'Verslavita', received the Certificate of Appreciation (Šiauliai CCI).
  • Vijoleta Dunauskienė, owner and head of AB 'Gubernija', received the Lithuanian Businesswoman of the Year award.
  • Gražina Garuolienė, owner and head of UAB 'Verslavita', received the Lithuanian Businesswoman of the Year award.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE MEMBERSHIP

Only business owners/co-owners and top-level managers representing companies and organisations that are members of Šiauliai Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts are eligible to apply for the membership of Šiauliai BWN. In order to become a member, interested parties are kindly requested to complete a written application form and receive approval from the Council.

The annual membership fee for 2024 is EUR 100. / There is no joining fee.
